On May 4th, the CNBC headline was: “Single biggest drop of the market since April 10, 2012″
This is what the average investor will act upon. Sure the market might be in a huge downward spiral. We’ll never know until that occurs. It could just as easily take off. They conclude it might be because of “Job Numbers.” Or the market is, “Spooked.” The market is not a thing with a will. It does not act erratically; it just does what it does. To speak about it, as such, is ridiculous. It is no more against you than a golf club. It is like saying a golf ball is having a bad day. The market has no feelings and you should not have feelings about it on a daily level. It is simply a tool to use. You use a tool and love your family and friends. But, a teenager always acts erratically!
